BALI




Almost all of tourists have same comment about Bali. Bali has many beautiful beaches, wonderful mountains, hills with multistory rice fields such a giant nature ladder and green forest. Actually, Bali offers us more. This Gods Island has many wonderful culture which never change by time, never influenced by thousands tourists from other countries in the world.

If we visit Bali, we should not miss the main object of tourism such as Gunung Batur, Gunung Agung, Kuta Beach Region, Tanjung Bukit and Nusa Penida. They present very captivating scenery. Kuta Beach is the most famous and the most crowded beach resort in Bali with many Hotels, Restaurant, Bar, Shopping Complex and other tourism facilities. Ubud is center of Bali Culture and Artistic and center of Art Things Market. In addition, do not forget to visit Pura Luhur Ulu Watu, Rambut Siwi, Tanah Lot and Ulun Danau Bratan.

Bali has crowded population. 95 % of population embraced Balinese Hinduism. The others come from other side of Indonesia such as Javanese, Sumatra and Nusa Tenggara. Balinese Hinduism people have caste in society like India people. But the caste system is not prevailed tightly in daily life. It just prevails in religion activity. About 90% of Balinese Hinduism people contain of Sudra Caste or ordinary category.

Balinese religion is Hind but it is different with India Hinduism. Like India, people worship for 3 Gods, Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva. However, beside them, Balinese Hinduism also worship for the Greatest God, they call it SangHyang Widhi. Balinese people believe that there are many spirits anywhere. It indicates that that animism is main point of some Balinese Religion Activities. Good spirits stay in top of mountains and give prosperity to the people and Evil Spirits stay in trees and quite beaches. Balinese people try to stay between these 2 spirit’s powers. Offering flowers or foods always given to the Good Spirits every morning but they also give it to the evil spirits.

There are Pura or Balinese Hinduism Temples everywhere. Balinese people do not visit it every day. They just visit Pura on fixed times. They believe on some holy times, when the Gods and their Ancestors will come down the Pura to meet their worshipers. Therefore, on the time Pura will be very crowded and merry by many activities included in drama show and dancing. Usually every villagehas 3 temples at least, so every village holds 5 until 6 religion festivals at Pura. One of important festival is Galungan that go on until 10 days.

For Balinese people, art has become as their daily life. Art always needed and contain in every activity. Both religion activity,social or culture event and etc. Painting, carving and sculpturing always do in every activity. Many kinds of art things would be displayed in many art festivals and religion festivals and it become as collection of Pura and Palace in Bali.
